We stopped off for lunch whilst walking the Sett Valley Trail from New Mills to Hayfield, and waited a few minutes for one of the few outdoor tables (it was... read more quite busy on a nice Sunday afternoon). There is a very wide choice of menu and our lunch was very tasty, with good portions and reasonably priced. It is worth noting that this cafe shuts at 2pm so make sure you arrive in time!
My only grumble was that we were asked to take all the packaging that the food had been served in, for Covid safety reasons. I think a business should dispose of the rubbish it generates, not burden nearby bins (or worse, litter in the countryside) and a simple sack for customers to place rubbish in would not present a risk to staff.KTP310
