The menu offered something for all of us. Service was friendly and calm, despite the influx of customers wanting to shelter from the rain. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely love this place. Food superb and staff can’t do enough for you. Always have lovely cakes and cater for vegans as well. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Stopped here mid-cycle on a crisp day. A lovely bowl of soup, sausage roll and cake later we were very well fuelled!

Situated along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail this cafe offers quick and easy lunches, snacks and refreshments. From cooked breakfasts and lunches, to sandwiches and refreshing teas and coffees this place is well worth a visit.
Child and animal friendly it’s a great stop off for the family on their day trip out. The Hope Valley Ice Cream selection is fantastic and can always find a space with any appetite..!!!!
All the food is locally sourced and the sourdough bread tastes amazing...!!!
The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Will very definitely return again and tell my friends.

If you'd like an overpriced plate full of attitude then this is the place for you, was actually berated by a rude, nasty, stressed out waitress/owner for having the audacity... read more to stand within the doorway whilst attempting to spend my hard earned money in here. We subsequently upped sticks and left as I had no intention of spending anything with these people. A zero for customer service skills, in fact a rattle snake has more charm. A nice walk ruined, if like me you prefer a friendlier service then do yourself a favour and continue walking into Hayfield and try the lovely tea room/chocolatier as you cross the road. Really poor and disappointing as we have been in the past but we will never visit again.

Clear day so we sat outside with the pram, wouldn’t have fit it inside as it’s very cosy so bear this in mind if you’re visiting and not planning on sitting outside. So full of quirk & character. Looking forward to returning.

We called in one Sunday afternoon whilst out with the dog. Very busy but an excellent setup with complying to Covid-19 regulations.

All the staff are friendly & work very hard, such a lovely place to visit, fantastic home-made food & very dog friendly.
Definitely one of our favourite cafes. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Children are made to feel very welcome and there is a really enticing menu of delicious hot chocolates and seasonal drinks with sprinkles and toppings for big and litte ones! There is a great choice for vegetarians and vegans as well as meat eaters and dogs are very welcome with dog treats on offer. The menu changes seasonally and the specials on offer add nice variety for regular visitors. An absolute must visit!

September 4, 2021We stopped off for lunch whilst walking the Sett Valley Trail from New Mills to Hayfield, and waited a few minutes for one of the few outdoor tables (it was... read more quite busy on a nice Sunday afternoon). There is a very wide choice of menu and our lunch was very tasty, with good portions and reasonably priced. It is worth noting that this cafe shuts at 2pm so make sure you arrive in time!
My only grumble was that we were asked to take all the packaging that the food had been served in, for Covid safety reasons. I think a business should dispose of the rubbish it generates, not burden nearby bins (or worse, litter in the countryside) and a simple sack for customers to place rubbish in would not present a risk to staff.
